The first 3rd party ship recently berthed at the Sönmez Cement Port Facility, which is the first port of the Adana Yumurtalık Free Zone.

M/V ABO ALYSSA became the first 3rd party ship to berthed at the Sönmez Cement Port to load 2,600 tons of Sling-Bag Mono Calcium Phosphate for Baf Premix and Agriculture Industry and Foreign Trade Co., Ltd., which produces animal food in the Adana Yumurtalık Free Zone. The Sönmez Cement Port Facility, which was established for the purpose of shipping the cement and clinker produced at the Sönmez Cement Factory by ships, has been providing with loading and unloading services only for its own cargoes since 2011, but started to provide third parties with services by the Port Management Operating License it received, as of 2021. Operating with its 2 piers, at Sönmez Cement Port Facility, loading and unloading services are provided 60,000 dwt ships by pier and ship cranes for bulk solid and general cargo products.
